May Blogathons

With the recent announcement of Deanna Durbin's death, Java's Journey did not mention blogathons on the first of the month. I don't want to stop talking about Ms. Durbin, but I won't deluge this blog with how much I like this star (you already know that). Instead, I've done what I haven't done with anyone in over a year - posted a picture of the movie star in the blog header.

Now on to blogathons for the month of May...

The Mary Astor Blogathon
Entry Deadline: Now
Dates: May 3-10, 2013
Hosts: Tales of the Easily Distracted and Silver Screenings

Known for such classics as The Maltese Falcon and Meet Me in St. Louis, Mary Astor had a prolific film acting career, beginning in the silent era. She's glamorous and no nonsense. She's one tough cookie.

If you know of any more blogathons this month, mention them in the comments section below and I'll mention them here.

Children in Film Blogathon
Entry Deadline: Ongoing
Dates: May 24-26, 2013
Host: Comet Over Hollywood

"[T]his blogathon includes any child actor or actress who performed in films or on television. Topics can vary from a specific individual, non-profits who help young actors or to general treatment of children in the Golden Era." - Comet Over Hollywood

Looks fabulous!
