Love it.

No matter how many Pre-"I Love Lucy" Lucy movies I watch, I am always floored by her more sophisticated and calm roles.

Becky,
You are not alone. I had no idea this gem existed before watching it online.

Page,
Sanders has done other murder mysteries? You intrigue me! I've only seen his regular dramas. Thanks for the recommendation.

Grand Old Movies,
I expected the Karloff scene to continue. But it was just a cameo, dash it all! I want more Boris!

Thanks everyone for contributing to Java's Journey.

- JavaJavaBeanRushhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05653117187583244224noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22615056.post-4209309244793493592012-05-28T21:07:12.144-04:002012-05-28T21:07:12.144-04:00This is a fun noir (who'd ever have thought th...This is a fun noir (who'd ever have thought there was one?) - I like the scene with Boris Karloff as, of all things, a mad fashion designer (with a snoozing bulldog as his audience); plus I love George Zucco's humorous turn as a detective always trying to solve a crossword puzzle. And Lucy's great in this film - she's funny, smart, and sexy. Add George Sanders, and what's not to like?Grand Old Movieshttp://grandoldmovies.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22615056.post-37707914478826745352012-04-10T15:08:51.455-04:002012-04-10T15:08:51.455-04:00Java,

It's amazing that Sanders did two films loosely based on The Ripper.

I hope I can find it. This was an informative and fun read as always.

PagePagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15063277863578004836noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-22615056.post-38872614820651645922012-04-05T09:18:01.267-04:002012-04-05T09:18:01.267-04:00Java, how have I missed this?
